A pub recruitment firm is hoping to pour more opportunities into the Scottish pub sector by launching a brand-new platform to help all would-be publicans to find and run a successful pub business and for pub companies to recruit new staff.

www.FindMyPub.scot is a brand-new online company that brings together all opportunities the Scottish pub trade has to offer with ambitions to grow employment opportunities as well create other new and exciting careers in the hospitality industry.

It follows in the footsteps of the well established UK-based business FindMyPub.com which has been match making pubs with suitable candidates for the last eight years and which also works with well-known pub-cos to recruit and train staff.

Helen Lees, managing director of www.FindMyPub.scot, comments: It’s all too easy to look back at all the negatives surrounding the contracting pub industry in Scotland, but there are tremendous opportunities in the right locations and for the right candidates.

With the launch of www.FindMyPub.scot we are aiming to pave the way towards re- establishing the sector right across Scotland and highlight, through the web site, all of the great opportunities for those wanting to manage, lease or sell their own pub business.

The website offers all the features currently available on FindMyPub.com such as pubs for lease, pubs for sale, job opportunities and events, but talks directly to the Scottish market about industry events, news and issues that relate to Scotland.

Furthermore, operators can get information on how to access training and licensing in Scotland as well as search all the vacancies for the country by agreement, region and investment level.

With 4,900 competing pubs currently operation in Scotland, 64 per cent of which are independent free trade, there is huge scope for growth. However, with increasing competition from cafes, bars and other outlets offering food and drink, publicans need to be very focused on delivering an experience clients will be raving about to ensure their pub has the wow factor.

Helen adds: If publicans get it right they can be assured of a profitable future and at www.FindMyPub.scot we can help potential publicans make this dream a reality.
