FindMyPub.com launch their new sister site FindMyPub.wales, a site dedicated to opportunities in Wales and the Welsh pub sector.

Whilst the beast from the east (part one and part two) were battering the country; FindMyPub.com have had their own perfect storm brewing. As part of the strategic development for this year the team have been planning the growth of the Welsh arm of the operation. At the same time Steph Rees, a regional recruiter with FMP was planning her own operation to return to her roots and relocate back to Wales to raise her young family.

FindMyPub.com certainly did not want to lose Steph from the team and luckily enough she didn’t want to leave them. So, in the calm after the storm, Steph and Helen Lees (MyPubGroup.ltd, Managing Director) made the decision that Steph would set up office from her home in Drefach, near Llanelli and really put FindMyPub.wales on the map.

Welsh speaker Steph has been with FindMyPub.com for three years but home is definitely Wales. Not only has she got fantastic recruiting skills, but she also has hands-on experience working in pubs, not only back home in Drefach but also in Aberystwyth where she studied and in London in those post-university years.

The big change for Steph came when in 2016 her son, Frankie, arrived. She was torn between wanting to return home to Wales to raise her family and returning to a job that she loves. As always for Helen Lees, her core principles of retaining great staff and supporting new mums in returning to work were at the forefront of her mind.

“I know what it is like to be a new mum and how hard it is to balance the demands of motherhood with the demands of a career. One of the reasons I started FindMyPub.com was to have a job where I could work around my family. I am passionate about ensuring that I can offer my team that flexibility and with Steph wanting to move home to Wales this was too good an opportunity for Steph and FMP to miss.”

Steph’s new role has meant her setting up a home office (not unlike what Helen did at the start of FindMyPub.com) and setting her sights on establishing FindMyPub.wales as the number one recruitment solution for the hospitality industry in Wales.

“The hospitality industry is crucial for the Welsh economy in terms of communities, employment and tourism. I know that the FindMyPub.wales business model can ensure that we find the right people for the right pubs in Wales”

Throughout Spring Steph will be working hard to increase the FindMyPub.wales candidate base as well as developing first-class working relationships with Welsh Brewers and Pub Companies. Steph’s enthusiasm and passion will breathe new life into FindMyPub.wales and make sure that there is an efficient and effective recruitment process that meets the needs of candidates and clients alike.
